Wanda E. Brunstetter Goes Exclusive
Barbour Publishing Signs Bestselling Author to Seven-Year Contract

Barbour Publishing is excited to announce a seven-year, multi-book contract with bestselling author Wanda E. Brunstetter. Brunstetter, who is best known for her Amish-themed novels which have appeared numerous times on the bestseller list, has committed to writing at least two books per year for Barbour.

"Wanda's books have shown very strong sales results with over a million books in print," said Rebecca Germany, fiction editor for Barbour. "She makes a personal connection with her topic and her readers that is universally appreciated."

Under terms of the agreement, Barbour will release the final book in the Sisters of Holmes County trilogy in fall 2008 along with a Christmas book, White Christmas Pie. In January 2009, the first of four books in the Indiana Cousins series is scheduled to release. Brunstetter will also continue to add to the Rachel Yoder children's series, which released the first two books summer 2007. She may also write another nonfiction book in the future.

"Wanda has received a lot of positive feedback over the years from the Amish community about her writing," said Germany. "We strongly believe in Wanda's talent and are confident that she will continue to bring in strong sales at retail."

Brunstetter has written more than two dozen novels, novellas, nonfiction titles, a cookbook, and children’s books. In the coming months, Barbour will release A Sister's Test (January 2008), the second book in the Sisters of Holmes County series—the first of which appears on the October bestseller list. Brunstetter's four-book series Brides of Webster County, which first appeared as a Heartsongs Presents offering, has been revised and expanded with the first book, Going Home, released in September. Additional releases are due out in December 2007, March 2008, and June 2008.
