Though successful as a marketing whiz to stars and starlet’s, Alexander “Mac” MacMillan contemplates the ultimate “what if?” What if he had been home when his wife was murdered? When the opportunity to answer this question is offered, if he takes on the job of marketing the Time Lottery, Mac questions whether he should take the job. The Time Lottery is a chance to go back in your own history and make a different decision altering your life. With this chance comes the possibility of staying in that Aternity, or Alternate Reality, and living it out. Mac wrestles with how this matches up with his faith in God. Would God want anyone to go back in their history? Would God have given man the ability to do so if it wasn’t His will?Three winners will be picked to take this once in a lifetime journey. Who will win? Millions enter. And the winners are:
Phoebe Thurgood has a good life. Social status and all the trappings keep her busy and on the go. But what could have happen if she had chosen not to help her boss climb the ladder of success?
Dr. Cheryl Nickolby, a surgeon with everything in life except deep and abiding relationships. Can going back in time gain her what her heart seeks?
Roosevelt Hazen, a homeless man, is winner number three. Or is he?
I really like the premise in Time Lottery. Having read the second book first, I did know a few of the things which happened in this book, but the story was still sound. The interweaving of the winners’ three lives gives even more realism. The times in which each winner travels are believable. Each character has depth and real emotion. I recommend this book as a good read.
