Using the Asian comic manga approach gaining popularity with teens, Buzz Dixon and Min Kown capture through artwork and dialogue the inspirational Christian message in SERENITY: NEW BAD GIRL IN TOWN.

A tough and hardened character, Serenity Harper comes from L.A. to James A. Madison High School, where she tries to fit in, but continues to get into trouble. Students from a prayer club try to welcome her, but struggle with Serenity’s cockiness and foul manners. To their credit, they continue to extend their friendship and kindness. The authors show consequences to actions, and a “chapter and verse” section encouraging scriptural principles lived out in relationships.

Recommended reading for the teen manga genre.
