Maddie needs a place to write and her elderly friend Ginny fixes her up at a local Bed & Breakfast. Maddie is grateful to the owner for letting her use his place during the day and begins writing down her appreciation in little notes she leaves. Arthur is grateful that the writer, he believes is quite old, has been cleaning up the place he’s let go since his wife’s death, and lets her know in the notes he leaves for her.

Their correspondence reveals hearts that are good and kind, but what can come of it when one heart has been broken and the other still grieving a love lost to death? Then there is the mysterious man Maddie “bumps” into at the Post Office who makes her heart beat faster. What will it take to heal wounded hearts and bring two special persons together?

A poignant romance that plucks at the heartstrings and keeps you reading until the last page. This is a novella that showcases Raney’s ability as a writer to give depth to even a shorter work.
