Review of Petticoat Ranch

Petticoat Ranch is a fun book from the first page, mainly because of Clayton McClellan. The twin brother of Sophie's deceased husband, Clay hasn't been around women much, but that's not a problem. All you have to do is give the orders and they obey, right?

Wrong!

Particularly when he's giving orders to Sophie and her four young daughters, all of whom are as sweet and pretty as angels, except when they're fighting or crying, which is pretty much all of the time. It's enough to drive a man out of his every-loving mind.

The men who hung Cliff, Sophie's husband and Clay's brother, want the ranch, and they're not above killing a woman to get what they want. Mary Conneally's Petticoat Ranch is packed full of
adventure, romance, and humor. Once I started it, I couldn't stop reading. From the first page where Sophie struggles to save a stranger from a flash flood to the very satisfying ending, I was
hooked. I'm looking for more from this very talented writer.
