Lance Moore reminds us that Outdoor with God we are less distracted from the machinery of the world: telephone and television, computer, clock, and calendar, even voices.

God is always with us but outdoors the words are silent or heard in the song of a bird, the touch of the wind, the gurgle of s stream, while in the sanctuary we are flooded with words. Psalm 46:10 reads, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

The psalmist frequently prays outdoors with God, as many of us do today. Moore reminds us of God of the Water, God and the Fish, In the Garden, God and the Birds of the Air, King David’s Camp, In Jacob’s Camp, Camping with Jesus, The Calm of the Green, On the Mountaintop, and many more devotional moments Outdoors With God.

Once I began Lance Moore’s meditations, I took the book with me to lunch, to sitting by water, and in the park, and into my study, reading until I cam to “The Final Chapter?”

This book would make an excellent gift for anyone who is aware of the power of creation to heal and give energy, and they might be surprised by that power through a small paperback book.
