NEW COOKBOOK SERIES LAUNCHES ODD COUPLE INTO THE CULINARY SPOTLIGHTMove over Martha Stewart! And who wants to see a naked chef anyway? Two new culinary divas are fresh on the scene and ready to bring a little chemistry to your kitchen. As different as oil and water, Mary and Martha are guaranteed to brighten your day with their good-natured repartee and clever cooking solutions in this first volume of their new cookbook series.
In the Kitchen with Mary and Martha offers something for everyone: Whether your culinary style leans toward the gourmet or fuss-free, family-pleasing fare; whether you are an experienced cook or a novice; whether you are compulsively neat or your kitchen is a complete disaster—this first volume is sure to please. Beautifully packaged for gift-giving, 224 pages feature tempting recipes in a variety of categories, including Appetizers, Breads, Candies, Main Dishes, Soups, and Desserts. The volume even offers a convenient weights and measurements cheat sheet, as well as numerous other helpful tips and shortcuts to save time in the kitchen.
“I just know women everywhere are going to be thrilled with the great ideas they’ll find in our first cookbook,” insists Martha. “If they will try some of my suggestions, they’ll find they can get more organized and will be able to conquer anything in the kitchen. Not to mention the wonderful meals they will be able to prepare. These are some fantastic recipes, if I do say so myself!” “That’s right, Martha,” adds Mary, “Not only will they get to try some delicious, easy new recipes, but they’ll have tons of time left over to spend with their families. That’s what good food is all about!”
Martha bought a tidy house for her family on a large lot in eastern Ohio where she maintains both a flower and vegetable garden plus some fruit trees. When not at her office job, she volunteers with music and hospitality areas in her church. Martha loves do-it-yourself projects, and her current goal is to add a sunroom off her kitchen that will house a walk-in pantry for all of her cooking gadgets.
Mary lives with her family in northeastern Ohio. Her “extended family” consists of two horses, two dogs, and two cats. Mary loves cooking up simple but delicious meals to fill her family’s tummies.
